OpenGL is a popular graphics library designed to be open source and portable between various operating systems. OpenGL is made up of a few parts from common application programming interfaces down to native drivers and libraries compiled specifically for each operating system version. This is a collection of drivers, interfaces and development tools. OpenGL is not a program that can be run and used although there are some tools included to assess or test systems.
